The more information you provide and the more accurate it is, the more accurately we will be able to estimate the cost of the service and avoid any problems that might occur during the migration. The duration of the complete migration process depends on the complexity of the migrated solution.

Approximate cost of migration

Migration of simple static HTML websites is free of charge. If you are moving special functionalities that require more time, the basic rate charged for migration is 500 CZK + VAT/30 minutes. In exceptionally complicated cases, the price may be higher. Our migration specialists will tell you the approximate price in advance.

Ordering webhosting

Now you need to order a suitable webhosting option. After evaluating the complexity of the website, our specialists will recommend a suitable service. For the first year, you will receive a 50% discount off the list price.

Our colleagues will discuss your requirements with you and explain the steps required to complete the migration. At this point, you can request, for example, updates to content management system plugins, configuration of SSL certificates or setting up aliases. They will recommend a suitable technical solution. They will calculate the costs and confirm the final price.

You can test the functionality of your site before completing the migration.

Transfer of service

If everything is in order, you agree on a date to switch your services to FORPSI's servers, your colleagues will complete the move at the exact time, safely and with minimal impact on the availability of your systems.

What information you will need to transfer your services:

  • FTP accesses of your existing webhosting;
  • Accesses for used databases;
  • In the case of domain transfer, the Auth-Info key;
  • If you are transferring e-mail services, you must provide the IMAP server address, mailbox name, and password for each mailbox;
  • If you don't know or can't find some of the information you need, we can help you get it or suggest a solution within our services.

In which cases the offer of assisted migration cannot be used:

  • If you can't get FTP or database credentials, the exception is WordPress, where you just install the recommended plugin and no credentials are needed.
  • If the website uses technologies that are not supported within our company, e.g. node.js, ruby on rails, etc., there is a possibility of migration to the Cloud or Managed server within the FORPSI and FORPSI Cloud platform.
